R Narayana Murthy, the filmmaker known for making films on revolutionary backdrops, is now coming up with another film of similar type. This time he had focused on the farmers of Telangana region. His latest film ‘Veera Telangana’ is based on the Farmers Movement that happened during the period between 1944 -50.
Speaking about the film R Narayana Murthy said “Any nation gets independence only once. But, in case of Telangana, it happened two times. After independence, Patels, Patwaris and Deshmukhs have mercilessly grabbed lands from the poor. Many great people fought against this. ‘Veera Telangana’ is based on such incidents that happened during the period between 1944 -50. I had tried to bring up those incidents and the atmosphere during the period on the screen.”
Film release is expected in May. Audio release is expected soon.
