Brahmanadam Earns 0.8 crore for Namo Venkatesa

Seenu Vytla is one director who makes complete use of star comedian Brahmanandam to make his movie a full comedy entertainer. “Ready,” “Dhee” and “King” are examples of such movies. And now, Seenu Vytla is trying to extract more from Brahmandandram and put the same in his upcoming movie “Namo Venkatesa.”

It is said that Brahmanandam will be present in about 80% of the movie. In this regard, Srinu Vaitla had taken bulk of Brahmanandam dates at a rate of 2.5 lakh per day, and the aggregate is amounting to about Rs 80 lakhs for the entire film. This is said to be more than what is paid to the heroine of the movie.

Holidays for Tollywood on 5, 6 and 7 November

It is already known that almost the entire Telugu Film Industry has come forward to collectively organize the mega event, “Starnight” on 7th November to raise funds to help the flood-hit victims of the state. In this regard, a committee has been appointed to which Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao will be acting as the Chairman and Balakrishna will be working as the executive chairman.

Speaking about the event, Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao said that the entire Telugu film industry will remain close for three days i.e. from 5th to 7th November and work for the noble cause. He added that if any one shoots any (Telugu) film in those days will be banned for six months from Tollywood. He further added that each penny collected through “Starnight” will be donated to flood-hit victims.

About 3 to 4 crores are expected to be raised thought the event that will be held on 7th November, at Gachi Bowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad.

Vikram, Swathi’s Film to Begin on 18 October

It is already known that Vikram and Swathi will be paring for a Tamil movie in the direction of Selvaraghavan, the director “Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule” and “7/G Brundhavan Colony.” Singanamala Ramesh is producing this film under Kanakaratna Movies banner. The shooting of the movie is expected to begin from 18th of this month.

Speaking about the movie, Singanamala Ramesh said that the movie also stars another heroine Andrea, an Anglo-Indian. Ismail Durbar, who scored music for Sharukh Khan’s Devdas, will be scoring music for the film. The other cast and crew details are yet to be known

Magadheera Director to Direct Mallanna

S.S. Rajamouli, the director of the mega blockbuster “Magadheera,” will be directing “Mallanna” (Vikram) for his next movie. The buzz in the industry is whether the movie will be the Tamil version of “Magadheera” or does the director has another wonderful script up his sleeve.

Shruthi Hassan to Debut in Telugu

Shruthi Hassan, daughter of Kamal Hassan proved herself to be a versatile artist. As an actress, singer and music director, she has already established herself in Indian Cinema. And now, she is making moves to foray into Telugu Cinema. It is said that she has been asked to play the lead role opposite Siddharth in the movie to be directed by K Prakash, son of veteran director K Raghavender Rao.

K Viswanath to Direct Allari Naresh

Acclaimed director, Kala tapasvi K Viswanath is preparing to get back to direction. After “Swarabhishekam,” that was released in 2004, he did not direct any other movie.

One of the main reasons is that he has been busy acting in various films. Now, after a long gap, he is directing a movie in which Allari Naresh will be playing the lead role. C Kousalyendra Rao, who earlier produced “Swarabhishekam,” will be once again producing the movie. “Swara Brahma” Mani Sharma is scoring music.

K Raghavender Rao, who is better known as “Dharsakendrudu” is planning to make a movie based on the life of Swami Vivekanada. It is said that he had been thinking of Venkatesh for the lead role in the movie.

Prakash Kovelamudi, son of ace director K Raghavendra Rao, is going to direct a fantasy film with Siddharth in the lead. K Raghavendra Rao is producing the film under ABODE (A Bellyful of Dreams Entertainment) banner. The movie is expected to begin from 21 of this month.

Trisha to Make her Debut in Bollywood

Trishna Krishnan (better known as Trisha), who is reckoned among the top actresses of both Tollywood and Kollywood is all set to make her entry into Hindi Cinema through Priyadarsan directed “Khatta Meetha.” She will be pairing with the Akshay Kumar in the movie. The shooting of the movie is expected to begin from October 23 in Panchgani, a hill station near Mumbai.

Priyadharshan, who introduced her to film industry in the year 2002 with the Tamil movie “Leysa Leysa,” is now introducing her to Bollywood. It is said that Priyadharshan, who know the tastes of both South Indian as well as North Indian Audience, is taking utmost care to mould Trisha’s character as per the tastes of Bollywood audience. Added to these, the movie is said to include an introduction song specially for her. Music is scored by Pritam.
