Jagapathi Babu’s ‘Gayam – 2,’ a sequel to his blockbuster ‘Gayam’ (directed by Ram Gopal Varma) is releasing today. It stars Vimala Raman as heroine and Kota Sreenivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani in key roles.

‘Gayam – 2 is director by Praveen Sri (a student of Ram Gopal Varma) and produced by Dr C Dharmakartha on Kartha Creations banner. Music is composed by Ilayaraja who also sang a song for the film.

Synopsis: ‘Gayam’, the first part, showed why Durga (Jagapathi Babu) had to use a Pistol. And the consequences of leaving it will be shown in ‘Gayam 2’. The story revolves mainly around four characters – Durga (Jagapathi Babu), Vidya (Vimala Raman), Guru Narayana (Kota Sreenivasa Rao) and the Lawyer (Tanikella Bharani)
